Digital Warriors Productions is a Vancouver based documentary film production company founded in 2014. Our mandate is to make content about and by women which are accessible, compelling, informative and challenging. Our focus is on merging great stories and characters together with important issues to make films which will capture the attention of a wide and diverse audience, remaining relevant for years to come.

Brishkay is the director and producer of the feature documentaries, In the Rumbling Belly of Motherland (2021), Unveiled: The Kohistan Video Scandal (2016) and the documentary short Fatima In Kabul (2021) and speculative short documentary, Aryana Resurrected (2019). Her other work includes a commissioned documentary about the 100 year independence of Afghanistan from British Rule (2019), and a short documentary, Story of Burqa (2012). She's also the writer and director of the Afghan prime time legal drama Between You and Me.

 

Through her years as a documentary filmmaker, she has collaborated with the NFB, CBC, Superchannel, Bravo, and Cinema Politica on projects. Her most recent feature documentary, In The Rumbling Belly of Motherland, nominee for the 2021 DGC Excellence in Documentary, won Outstanding Feature Film Award at the 2021  Reel World Film Festival. Brishkay also won the Outstanding Producer Award at the festival. In addition, her short, Fatima In Kabul, was nominated for Best Web Program - Canadian Screen Awards 2022 and a Banff Rockie Award Nominee Short Non-Fiction Program 2022.

 

Beyond documentary films, Brishkay works as a film instructor and continues developing her career as a playwright.
